I came in my
flat from my job and I shake hands with a pretty smile to my friends as usual.
Then I changed my clothes and again I go to friends, then we talking about how
to enjoy the weekend. We make plans to go somewhere, the time was running fast.
But, we couldn’t make a final decision to where we should go. Suddenly we got
an idea that we should go to Golden Temple. After that, I search the timing of
train in the Google. The time of train
is half past nine PM and now we have only one and half hour to get the train.
It was less time for us because we have to go 20 km by auto rickshaw from our
flat to Rajpura railway station and we did not prepare for it. But as we
planned, so definitely we wanted to go even anything happen. So, don’t know how
soon and when we prepare our bags and carry all the needs and clothes. After
this we all pray to God to make our journey full of joy and happiness.
We take an auto
rickshaw and reached at Rajpura railway station. Our hearts were beating very fast because we
had only few minutes to get ticket and there was a big line of peoples. This
time we got an idea that we must get a ticket from private counter, which is
situated outside the railway station. Then I ran fast and there was no crowed
on the counter. So, I got the tickets easily. I ran to platform and I saw the
train still not came. Then my friend went to inquiry window and asked about the
status of the train. The officer said “The train is one hour late”. Then we decided to go to the hotel to take a
dinner. We packed the food to have it in train because the train can came
anytime. We took the food and when we returning back to the station, we saw a
policeman and some guys were fighting on the platform and suddenly a guy, who
was caught by policeman, pushed back with his full force to policeman and all
guys ran. After this we search a better place to sit because all the chairs
were booked and many people were sleeping on the ground. So, we also had to sit
down on the ground and we put a big piece of cloth on ground and then we had
dinner. It was amazing for us. But, we were feeling relax and comfy. Sooner,
Train came. There was a big rush in train. We were getting sweat to see such
crowd. We had to stand but after 2 hours we got seats and still we didn’t feel
tiredness. In whole travel we did so much fun. We were happy that our weekend
will ngeot go in vain.
At half past
three in the morning we reached at Amritsar Railway Station. Then we took an
auto rickshaw to go to Golden Temple. After few minutes we arrived. The Golden
Temple looks beautiful and amazing. Shining of pure gold looks very pretty.

Golden Temple
was founded by fifth Guru of Sikhs, Guru Ram Dass Ji to make a main shrine for
Sikhs and Sikhism. It is made by Islamic Sufi-Saint Sai Mian Meer. In 1830,
Maharaja Ranjit Singh plated the temple with pure gold.
After some time
we took bath in the holy pond then we go to the Darbar Sahib for bowing down.
We saw an old Guru Granth Sahib Ji, which is placed at the first floor of
Darbar Sahib. It is the one of the five hand written and old Guru Granth Sahib
Ji. After that we go to Akaal Takhat Sahib, which is in front of Darbar Sahib.
Beside this there is an entry gate, where are many marks of bullets. These marks are in remembrance of attack by Indian Army on Golden Temple Complex in
1984. After this we go to Sikh Museum. There are many paintings of Gurus,
Martyr, many documents related to Sikhism and weapons, which were used by Gurus
and Sikhs in War. Everything is knowledgeable there.
While watching
these stuffs in Museum, we just forget about the time. That time we were
feeling hunger so we went to Free Kitchen (Langar Hall) to have a breakfast.
After having breakfast we went to Jalian Wala Bagh. It is very near to Golden
Temple.

On 13, April,
1919, British Officer General Dyer ordered to firing on all peoples who were
protesting and Baisakhi Pilgrims. Many people were killed and many were wound
in this attack. There are also many marks of bullets on the walls. Many people
come here to see Jalian Wala Bagh instead of Golden Temple.
Then we mooching
around in the market. After walking we reached at Durgiana Mandir. The name
Durgiana came from the Goddess Durga and it is also known as the name of
Lakshmi Narayan Mandir. This Mandir was founded by Harsai Mal Kapoor in 1908 on
the pattern of the Sikh Golden Temple and it is placed near Loh garh gate,
Amritsar.
After this we go
to Alpha One Mall. It is very big Mall and we did shopping there and a lot fun
we did there. We also went to Wagha Border. There we saw Army’s March. This was
such an amazing thing I ever watch.
Then we came back to our flat at Banur. We
were so happy and anyone can take idea from our smiling faces that how much we
enjoyed our weekend.
